TINT Membership -
What’s In It For Me?

We held a clean-up day, were members pitched in to help clean up the grounds of our building.
Is that what you really want to know from a temple? If it is, remember you’ll only get what you put into it. That’s true of anything you do!
At Temple Israel Ner Tamid our members put a great deal into their membership. We firmly believe in Tikkun Olam (Repairing the World.)
- Mitzvah of the Month, a program of sharing in which members donate items for distribution to those less fortunate
- Commitment to St. Aloysius, where our members prepare and serve dinner to the needy on a regular basis
- Providing hundreds of member-made peanut butter and jelly sandwiches to the homeless on Cleveland’s near west side.
Those are just a few things in which our members get involved. We know we cannot repair the entire world, but we understand we have to start somewhere.
That’s not what you want in a temple? Don’t want to get involved? Just want a place to worship? Our “hamish” (warm and friendly) Reform congregation provides that, too!
- Regular Friday night services
- Religious school for youngsters from ??? to ???
- High holiday services with an outstanding choir
- Adult education classes
- A rabbi who is down-to-earth and encourages building relationships
Still not enough?
- We celebrate the holidays with everything from Pizza in the Hut for Succot to a congregational seder for Passover; to latkes at Chanukah to member-provided pot luck Shabbat meals.
- If you feel that’s still not enough, contact us and let us know what you like. Perhaps we’ll put you in charge.
